What is electricity current ?
The passage of electric charge in a conductor is referred to as current. It is a fundamental notion in physics that is measured in amperes (A). The flow of electrons or positive charges (such as ions) in a conductor can produce electric current. Electric current is created when there is a potential difference (voltage) across a conductor, allowing charges to travel. This potential difference generates an electric field, which acts on the charges and causes them to move. The passage of charges via a conductor is analogous to the flow of water through a pipe. Electric current can flow in either direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC). The flow of charge in DC is one way, but the flow of charge in AC changes direction on a regular basis.
